1981 Wayne schoolbus purchase makes history July 8, 2000 Pataskala, Ohio . Five members of a loosely-associated group of die-hard Ohio State football fans purchased a 1981 Wayne schoolbus (on an International chassis). In two months, the 66-passenger bus (the yellow one on the right) was transformed into the Alumbus. Alumbus's sole mission is to maximize the tailgating experience for everybody onboard. The bus features two separate sound systems, a bar, TV with VCR, and the "Cathedral Room"--a semi-private room with a nearly 10-foot ceiling. In addition to football Saturday's, the bus can be seen all over central Ohio, and beyond. |
